While many media companies have written them off as “screen addicts,” Gen Z is actually very nimble, engaged, and unique. Here are a few facts to consider: As of 2020, Gen Z makes up more than 40% of U.S. consumers. Born after 1996 , most members of this generation are not yet old enough to vote. Generation Z represents the leading edge of the country’s changing racial and ethnic makeup. 52% are non-Hispanic white, 25% are Hispanic, 14% are black, 6% are Asian.
